Bath Bombs
Age group - all
Mess factor - medium (dusty)
Difficulty - easy
Danger - low
Requirements - mixing bowls, measuring cup, fork, sieve, baking paper, flat surface

You will need:

· 1 cup bicarbonate soda
· 1/2 cup citric acid
· 1 T sweet almond oil OR spray bottle of water
· 150 drops essential oilmould (can be purchased with the kit from Shabondama)
· cellophane bags and ribbon

Instructions
1. PlaSieve together the bicarbonate soda and citric acid into a large bowl.

2. Measure out 1/2 cup of mixture into another bowl. Add 50 drops of essential oil and stir to combine. Test to see if the mixture sticks together - it should resemble flour with butter rubbed into it. If it is not moist enough, add drops of sweet almond OR sprays of water (mix quickly to avoid fizzing) until the mixture binds. Do not over moisten!!!

3. Pack the mixture into the mould and compress well. Let sit for 10 minutes to dry then gently turn the bomb out onto baking paper and let dry for 24 hours.

4. Once dry, pack into cellophane bags and tie with a ribbon. They will be fragile and should be handled with care.

5. To use - drop one into a warm bath and enjoy! The oil may leave the bath slippery so please be careful when exiting the bath. If the water is left to go cold it may also leave a ring around the bath, which can be removed with warm water.

Note - you can use food colouring to give the bombs colour. Use 5 drops per 1/2 cup.
Note - you can use milk powder at a rate of 1T per 1.5 cups. Simply add it in when you're seiving and proceed as normal
