Astonishing Crafts & Art has successfully launched a range of unique Crafts & Art products to the Australian market. Using Powertex and Stone Art it's possible to create your own Statues – Sculptures even when you are not an artist. With an “old” T-shirt, some wire, aluminium foil and masking tape everybody can create a beautiful sculpture or ornament that decorates their home or garden.
Powertex is an environmentally friendly water based hardener that gives form to crafts and decorations. It is a hardener for different kind of materials such as textiles, paper, plush, cardboard, fibre matting and – for instance – can be combined with wood, gauze’s, concrete, glass and sand.
Powertex is very versatile; for example it allows the preservation of memorabile treasures for life, eg your baby’s first clothes or shoes, Teddy bears, etc.

Certified Powertex Trainers:
It is our goal to have Powertex Trainers throughout Australia providing classes.
What is a Certified Trainer?
- A Certified Trainer must first participate in a number of Astonishing Crafts & Art Powertex classes or participate one of our unique Train-the-Trainers weekends at our Buderim studio.
- A Certified Trainer provides Powertex classes at the same level you would expect from Astonishing Crafts & Art.
- A Certified Trainer frequently participates in Train-the-Trainer classes organized by Astonishing Crafts & Art. This way the trainers are always up-to-date with the latest products and techniques.
- Astonishing Crafts & Art will continuously monitor the Quality of our Certified trainers to ensure you receive the best possible quality classes.
Why Certified Trainers?
The demand for Powertex and Stone Art classes are growing such that we are unable to fulfil all requests. This is very unfortunate as we do not want to disappoint you. For this reason we will be appointing Certified Trainers in various areas who will be able to provide classes at the same standard and quality you expect from us.
Interested becoming a Certified Trainer?
Astonishing Crafts & Art are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and craft oriented persons who are interested becoming a Certified Trainer in their own region. You will be fully independent (no franchise) but still receive the support from Astonishing Crafts & Art:
- Train the trainer classes
- Trade Shows /Exhibitions
- Website with samples and ideas
- Worksheets
- New product information
- Leads / contacts for new classes
