Main products we stock: Two to Eight day Workshop Events in Brisbane and Perth, featuring classes by leading designers & tutors in Hand Embroidery, Ribbon Embroidery, Textiles, Stumpwork, Goldwork, Knitting, Crochet, Felting, Beading, Framing & much more.

Koala Conventions is a family run business which has been operating for 11 years. We offer an excellence in customer service and a wonderfully friendly environment in which to spend 2 day workshops or up to 9 days at our event with your favourite tutor, learning that new technique or choosing the project that simply catches your eye. Every July over 20 tutors join us for more than 80 workshops.
Special features of our events are: a congenial atmosphere in beautiful surroundings, a choice of budget or 4 star accommodation, an evening banquet, scenic tours, evening presentations and a gallery of all of the projects offered for the following years event. We also have a huge onsite shop featuring specialist threads, ribbons and tutors kits, many of which cannot be found locally.
Our event shop is quite an ‘Aladdin’s cave and is open to our students during the entire week of the event. It is also open to the general public on the first Sunday. Visit the shop and view the gallery free of charge – a day out not to be missed.
We want our event to be affordable for everyone who has a passion for embroidery and textiles. We offer accommodation bookings, shared accommodation and monthly payment options which has proved very popular with many of our students.
Nothing is too much trouble for our team and the event has grown from strength to strength over the years.
If you have a passion for embroidery and textiles and would enjoy the company of fun and friendly staff , tutors and students where your enjoyment is our priority, then do join us.
